What is the Veggie Box?
The Schurman Family Farm Veggie Box is a CSA subscription to receive fresh organic vegetables directly from our farm to you. Our boxes include a mix of organic greenhouse vegetables and select produce from local and organic farmers, plus local food items when available. By subscribing to our veggie box, you reserve a share of the harvest, delivered weekly to one of our pickup partners. It’s a great way to eat fresh, organic, and local while directly supporting your local farmers!
How do I sign up?
Signing up is easy! Just head over to our website and subscribe online. It’s quick and hassle-free. Once you’re registered, you can start receiving your Veggie Box, with fresh deliveries available all year round.
How Can I Pay for My Veggie Box Membership?
When you sign up, you will be asked the amount you would like to put towards your Veggie Box membership, starting at $250 and up to $1000. The more you invest in your membership, the greater the rewards! Check out the bonus plan above. Payments should be made through your account on our website via e-transfer, cheque, or credit card.
For any additional weekly orders, please process payments directly in your account using a credit card.
Payment Options:
- E-Transfer: Send your transfer to schurmanveggiebox@gmail.com. We are set up for automatic deposit, but if a password is required, use: veggiebox.
- Cheque: Make payable to Atlantic Grown Organics and mail or drop off at: 713 Route 104, Kensington, PE, C0B 1M0
- Credit card: At checkout, you can choose to pay via credit card. With this you can select for re-occuring payment option which means once your account reaches under $25 your credit card would be automatically charged ensuring you never miss a box!
Where do I pick up my Veggie Box?
Your produce arrives in a box with a label at the pickup location you selected. Please check the label on the box to ensure you take the correct order. Please do not rummage through or take any items out of the boxes, as someone else will miss out!

Can I choose the content of my box?
Each week, we’ll send you an email with the list of preselected items in your box, valued between $32 and $35. Want to make changes? No problem! Just log into your account to swap, add, or remove items to suit your preferences. The minimum weekly order is $20. If you don’t make any changes, you’ll receive the preselected items by default. Just remember, any edits must be made before the weekly cut-off on Monday. That gives us enough time to prepare your personalized box and have it ready at your chosen pick-up location, just the way you like it!
Can I purchase additional products?
Each week, you will have the opportunity to add additional items to your Veggie Box delivery based on what’s available. You can do this by ordering from our store when you confirm the content of your weekly box. But make sure you do any changes that you wish to your box before 8:30 AM MONDAY as that is the cut off time.
What can I do if I cannot pick up my Veggie Box?
Yes, you can! If you’re unable to pick up your Veggie Box, you’re welcome to send a friend or family member in your place. Need to skip a week? No problem. Just head to the Delivery Hold tab in your account and pause your box for the dates you’ll be away. Please make sure to do this before the Monday cut-off. Of course, more notice is always appreciated! If you update your pause with a new date range, it will override any previous delivery hold, so double-check before submitting. When you pause a delivery, you can also schedule a make-up box, either as a double share on a future date or on a different delivery week.
What would happen if I missed a pickup?
If you do not collect your Veggie Box within the pickup during the designated time, it will be donated unless other arrangements have been made with us prior to this time or you may plan for someone else to pick up in your place.
What if something in my Veggie Box is missing?
Items on the list may change from day-to-day, depending on harvest and availability. If something is missing from your box, please email schurmanveggiebox@gmail.com and let us know right away. Generally, we will send along the missing item the following week in your Veggie Box or issue a credit for that item.
Can I pause my Veggie Box?
If you know you cannot pick up your Veggie Box on certain dates of delivery, you can choose to put a hold on your delivery from the Delivery Hold tab in your account. If you replace a delivery hold with a different date range, this will remove your original delivery hold. Once you submit your pause dates, you can select a make up date you want to receive the share you put on hold (double share on a delivery date or later delivery date).
Can I cancel my Veggie Box?
Yes, you can cancel your Veggie Box subscription anytime after you spend all the amount you initially put towards the membership.
So, the minimum commitment for joining the membership is $250 and an average weekly veggie box would cost $32-$35, which technically means around 7 week commitment but since you have the option to add more items or remove some the length of the subscription is in your hands. However, each box’s value must not go under $20 after customizations, which means with the minimum $250 subscription – you can get a maximum of 12 boxes.
- We would send reminder emails when the balance in your account gets around $35 to request and add more funds so you can keep enjoying fresh, local, organic veggies. However, if you wish to leave the subscription, once the balance hits $0, account would be put on hold.
- To make sure customers never miss a delivery as we know life gets busy, we have a convenient option of ‘recurring payments’, in which when you paid with a credit card the first time and choose this option – the same amount you chose the first time would be automatically deducted from your credit card once your veggie box account reaches $35 ensuring an uninterrupted supply of veggie boxes all year around.
We understand that circumstances change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. If you need to cancel:
Notify Us in Advance. Please provide at least 7-day notice before your next scheduled delivery so we can adjust our harvest and orders accordingly.
Refunds & Credits. Our Veggie Box membership is non-refundable and any full or partial refund is at the sole discretion of Schurman Family Farm. Please contact us to discuss your options.
